Was ist ein Fallminen-Bleistift? Die Mine wird im Bleistifthalter mit einer Klemme gehalten. Durch drücken des Knopfes fällt die Mine herunter bis diese gestoppt wird. Fallminenbleistifte werden typischerweise zum Zeichnen und Skizzieren verwendet. Die Strichbreite ist abhängig von der Minendicke, vom Spitzen und der Abnutzung. Minendicke 2,0 mm und 3,5 mm.

Was sind Druckbleistifte? Die Mine wird durch jedes Drücken des Knopfes ein wenig vorgeschoben, fällt aber nicht aus dem Minenhalter. Die Minen sind haben eine fixe Dicke (0,35mm, 0,5mm, 0,7mm) sind durch die definierte Minendicke eher für das technische Zeichnen geeignet.
