Real gold leaf

Transfer gold or storm gold: Genuine gold leaf adhered to fine transfer paper. This gold is primarily used for mixtion gilding. Thanks to the transfer paper, these gold sheets can be cut with scissors. Handling transfer gold is much easier than handling loose gold leaf. The gold quality is the same. Loose gold lies loosely between the paper sheets of a gold booklet. The booklet usually contains 25 gold sheets measuring 80x80mm. This gold is cut with a gilding knife on a gilding cushion. Loose gold leaf is mostly used for bole gilding of picture frames and other interior objects. This gilding is polished to a golden sheen with an agate stone.
